Dressage Program
Starting March 1, 2008

The program will start off with several unique basic dressage classrooms which will take place on every other Saturday morning starting on March 1, 2008.

These classrooms will begin at 11:00 a.m. and last about one hour.

The dates will be March 1st, March 15th, March 29th, and April 12th, 2008.

The classrooms will cost $60.00 per person for the entire series of four, or $20.00 for each classroom.

March 1st - Dressage saddles and how they affect your position, and, therefore your ability to ride better. Bridles, bits and other equipment will also be discussed. Pros and cons of different training aids will be covered as well.

This session will be held at the Rhinebeck Tack Shop at 11:00 a.m..
March 15th - How the horse's body changes and develops as it gets stronger
and stronger through the training process.
March 29th - We will examine two or three of the 2007 dressage tests and learn how to best perform them. Attention will also be paid to Dressage rules and etiquette.
April 12th - Video day. A video will be shown to confirm, emphasize, and highlight the material covered in the first three classrooms.
April 26th - Practice Your Dressage Test. Starts at 11:00 am. Please contact Pam Molyneux for more information (845-758-9254).
Once the weather is nice and we can ride outside, lessons will be set up in groups, semi-privates, or privates. We are going to try to have an outside instructor at least once a month.
There will be four (4) Schooling Dressage Shows and CT's this year. We have the new outdoor ring to use as well as the much improved dressage arena.
The dates for these shows are:

Sunday, May 11th (Dressage & CT)
     Combined Training Entry Form

     Dressage Entry Form

Sunday, August 10th (Dressage) - Dressage Entry Form

Sunday, September 7th (Dressage) - Dressage Entry Form

Sunday, October 12 (Dressage & CT with at least two cross country fences)

We will also have field trips to outside clinics and dressage shows, and hope to participate in at least one outside schooling show.
