Dressage Program
Starting March 1, 2008
The program will
start off with several unique basic dressage classrooms which will take
place on every other Saturday morning starting on March 1, 2008.
These classrooms will begin at
11:00 a.m. and last about one hour.
The dates will be March 1st, March
15th, March 29th, and April 12th, 2008.
The classrooms will cost $60.00 per
person for the entire series of four, or $20.00 for each classroom. |

March 1st -
Dressage saddles and how they affect your position, and, therefore your
ability to ride better. Bridles, bits and other equipment will also be
discussed. Pros and cons of different training aids will be covered as
well.
This session will be held at the Rhinebeck Tack Shop at 11:00 a.m.. |

March 15th -
How the horse's body changes and develops as it gets stronger
and stronger through the training process. |
|
March 29th -
We will examine two or three of the
2007 dressage tests and learn how to best perform them. Attention will
also be paid to Dressage rules and etiquette. |

April 12th -
Video day. A video will be shown to
confirm, emphasize, and highlight the material covered in the first
three classrooms. |

April 26th -
Practice Your Dressage Test. Starts
at 11:00 am. Please contact Pam Molyneux for

Once the weather is nice and we can
ride outside, lessons will be set up in groups, semi-privates, or
privates. We are going to try to have an outside instructor at least
once a month. |

There will be four (4) Schooling
Dressage Shows and CT's this year. We have the new outdoor ring to use
as well as the much improved dressage arena.

We will also have field trips to
outside clinics and dressage shows, and hope to participate in at least
one outside schooling show. |

Saturday, April 19th -
Tom Noon Clinic at Bel Air Farm in Millbrook. MHDCTA sponsored. $30 fee
- to audit; includes chairs and refreshments/lunch. |
