Mommy & Me Parent and child will work together with an instructor. The instructor will coach the parent on teaching their child proper grooming techniques, leading the pony, and guiding the pony while mounted. The program will run for six weeks beginning Tuesday, May 6 and ending on Tuesday, June 10, 9:30 10:30 a.m. The cost is $150. Classes limited to five children.
Tiny Riders (Levels I and II) This is an excellent way to introduce children 4 to 6 years of age to the fun of ponies and riding. Its fun and safe. All sessions are on a leadline, with the children able to try riding with more control as they progress. One or two ponies will be used for a small group. Level I introduces the children to the ponies, the farm and riding. Week one is a tour of the farm, instruction on how to behave around the ponies, what they eat, where they live and the riding equipment. Week two they learn how to groom and work safely around the pony. Weeks three and four introduce the child to riding the pony. This program is one session: beginning Tuesday, May 6 through May 27, 11:00 11:45. Level II is for those children who have completed Level I. They learn more about controlling the pony and the different parts of the pony and tack. This program is one session and begins Tuesday, June 3 through June 24, 12:45 1:30 p.m. Cost: Both levels run in four week sessions for $120 each. The classes are 45 minutes long and are limited to five children. Parents are requested to stay on the grounds. All participants should come dressed for the barn, in pants and boots.
